The Student Newspaper of Hopkins School

Jason Nevis

Where did you grow up?
I was born and raised in California.

What is your academic background?
I went to Long Beach State where I got a degree in kinesiology and health. I started working right away as a PA and heath teacher, also coaching swimming and water polo in Southern California.

What will you be teaching/coaching/advising this year?
I will be the Director of Aquatics. My goal is to introduce water polo to students and to help continue Chuck [Elrick's] strong competitive swim program here at Hopkins.

If you could eat one meal for the rest of your life, what would it be?.
As someone coming from Southern California, I do enjoy Mexican food--fish tacos are delicious.

Do you have any pets? Tell us about them!
I have a bernedoodle, a Bernese mountain dog and poodle mix (whose name is Bumblebee).
