TV Shows Return

A summary of Grey's Anatomy, Narcos, American Horror Story, and How to Get Away with Murder as they return to television this fall.
Grey’s Anatomy 

The thirteenth season of Grey’s Anatomy aired on September 22, bringing back old favorites with new drama. The show has carved out a place for itself as a combination of medical mystery and soap-opera elements. Grace Barket ‘18 is excited for the new season, but is ready for it to be the show’s last: “I’ve been watching Grey’s Anatomy for years, but a lot of the good characters are gone or have changed too much.” 


Narcos

Narcos is back for its second season. This Netflix-produced series centers around the notorious Colombian drug trafficker in the seventies and eighties, Pablo Escobar, and is told through the perspective of an American DEA.  “The Pablo Escobar of this series is hateful and murderous, but at the same time a tragic champion of the oppressed,” said Dr. Teresa Picarazzi, an Italian teacher. “We all know how this season is going to end, but it will be interesting to see how it unfolds.” 


American Horror Story 

American Horror Story’s Season Six aired September 14 to patiently-waiting fans. “I love how spooky American Horror Story is,” shared Tatiana Perez ‘18. “I can’t wait to hear the new controversial statements of the season.” The show is known for its terrifying and thrilling episodes, which based on the first episode of Season Six, will continue to haunt and engage its audience.


How To Get Away With Murder

How to Get Away with Murder, written by Shonda Rhimes, premiered its third season earlier this fall. The suspenseful show is centered around a group of law students and their professor Annalise Keating, portrayed by Viola Davis. “How to Get Away with Murder is fast-paced and you never know what is going to happen! Shonda Rhimes never fails to entertain. ” said Zander Blitzer ’18
