Honoring Retiring Hilltoppers: Gail Leamon

Anushree Vashist '21 News Editor
Business Office Manager Gail Leamon will be retiring after nearly twenty-four years on The Hill.
Guiding the Business Office, Leamon directed staff, controlled daily accounting work, and managed student enrollment. Leamon has many hobbies which she hopes to continue in retirement, including playing the piano and painting: “I joined some art classes for oil painting and watercolor painting, which is something I enjoyed doing many years ago, and am excited to continue. In addition, I enjoy hiking, gardening, traveling, and I intend to volunteer each week at various local organizations.” Looking back at her time at Hopkins, Leamon said, “I will miss so many of the people I worked with over the years. I enjoyed and will miss my work and all the diverse duties and responsibilities which evolved over the years, making my time here very interesting and truly unforgettable.”
