Where did you grow up?
I grew up in South Orange, NJ.

What is your academic background?
I majored in math at St. Olaf College in Northfield, MN (where over 20 of my family members also went!).

What will you be teaching/coaching/advising this year?
I’ll be teaching 7th grade math and coaching fencing at Hopkins.

Do you have any pets? Tell us about them!
I have a cat named Milton who is 14 years old. He’s a tuxedo cat and he has a little chunk missing in his ear from when he got into a fight with a raccoon.

What are your hobbies/what things do you enjoy doing in your spare time?
In my free time, I like to read and write. I’m actually in the process of writing a young adult fantasy novel! My favorite sport to watch is tennis and my favorite player is Rafael Nadal.
