The Student Productions directed and produced Melancholy Play, which opened during the first weeks of school. The group is new and, according to Liza Kottler ’17 and Holden Turner ’17 looks forward to expanding all aspects of the Hopkins theater community. “The club is an excellent resource to connect directors and actors so that we can communicate the process of creating a sketch. We have a couple of ideas for productions later in the year,” said Turner. Kottler agreed, adding her own excitement for the future of the club. “What I enjoyed the most during the process of Melancholy was being able to see all sides of production, not simply the perspective of the actor, as well as getting to see our show really come together from the outside. It was so much fun to watch our actors grow into their parts and fall in love with this show as much as we had.”
